Your New Role…

The Video Editorial Senior Director leads teams who produce, shoot, and edit daily or long-form content for next-generation products with an eye towards identifying direct-to-consumer, paid experiences. The role requires an editorial and creative leader who understands user needs, multiplatform content experiences, and holds the highest standards for editorial excellence. Proven experience crafting compelling stories in the field and in post-production are a must.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Collaborates and communicates closely with global teams across the organization
  • Sets and stewards editorial and creative vision for high-impact video initiatives across all platforms
  • Oversees the development and execution of new formats, series, and initiatives aligned with audience strategy and brand priorities
  • Leads a team of senior producers and producers, ensuring clarity of editorial voice, creative ambition, and team alignment
  • Owns cross-functional collaboration with Programming, Product, Audience Development, and Design to ensure video performs at scale
  • Elevates team’s editorial standards, actively develops creative talent and succession plans
  • Ensures that performance feedback loops and learnings inform future creative development and distribution strategy

Qualifications & Experience…

  • 10+ years of video editorial production experience, preferably within a newsroom or breaking news environment
  • 3+ years of team leadership with direct people management responsibilities
  • Strong record of building and scaling video experiences or franchises
  • Previous experience overseeing multiple teams and/or an entire production unit or vertical
  • Demonstrated point of view of editorial vision and audience instinct
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking & ability to execute on strategy
  • Proven organizational and team leadership/development
  • Proven ability to innovate in visual storytelling and format development
  • Data fluency and performance-driven editorial planning
  • Interprets platform-native metrics, evaluates format impact on distribution, bridges creative strategy and technical distribution expertise.
  • Experience working with global teams is a plus
  • Strong communicator and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage interdependent, matrixed stakeholder relationships
  • Must be agile and adaptable in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
