The work:
At Anser Advisory, a part of Accenture, we are looking for a Quality Manager to join our growing Utilities team! You will be responsible for the oversight and enforcement of the Quality Management Plan. Quality Manager will implement and maintain processes in accordance with the Eagle Railcar Services Quality Policies and Procedures, Association of American Railroads ("AAR"), Manual of Standards and Recommended Practices, Specification for Quality, and related AAR rules and technical standards as well as Federal Railroad Administration Code of Federal Regulation. You are also accountable for achieving targets established for customer satisfaction and profitability by improving quality and service delivery. They are responsible for creating, reviewing, analyzing, accepting, or rejecting, as applicable, reports for nonconformance data with a focus for continuous improvement. You must be able to coordinate and communicate with site level QA managers to prepare for AAR, FRA, Customer or Internal Quality Assurance facility audits, certification and recertification audits and events.
Responsibilities:
• Manages, mentors, coaches, and trains site level QA Managers.
• Leads improvement initiatives.
• Leads Quality Team communication at corporate and site level.
• Ensures implementation, oversight, and management of the Quality Assurance Program on a corporate and site level basis.
• Analyzes process nonconformance data.
• Leads and participates in continuous improvement opportunities resulting from Process Nonconformance data analysis.
• Supervises and coordinates with site level QA managers for internal, AAR and FRA audits.
• Contributes to, on a corporate level, the overall performance from the standpoints of safety, quality, and profitability.
• Works with site level QA managers to manage in-process inspection and final inspection audits to ensure compliance with quality program.
• Facilitates root cause and corrective action processes with cross-functional operations team.
• Assists and collaborates with Corporate to develop NDT and Welding Procedures.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction or related degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years directly related experience in the railroad railcar repair industry in Quality Assurance.
- Working knowledge of AAR and FRA standards and specifications.
- Level III or Level II Certification in NDT methods such as VT, MT, PT, UT, BLT.
Bonus Points if you have:
- American Welding Society CWI is preferred.
- Preferred qualification - OSHA safety certification - 10 hrs
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
