Project Lead

Overview

Texas GovLink, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Lead to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

Strong understanding of software development:

• Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC), programming languages, software architecture, and relevant technologies.
• Experience with data management systems and data-related technologies.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies:
• • Proficiency in Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into user stories and manage a product backlog.

System understanding:

• Ability to comprehend how different technical components interact and identify potential technical challenges.
• Knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, and data integration techniques. 

Problem-solving skills:

• Aptitude for troubleshooting technical issues and finding effective solutions.
• Ability to address data-related problems such as data quality, data governance, and data security issues

Data analysis:

• Ability to analyze data to inform product decisions.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques.

Security awareness:

• Understanding security principles and best practices.
• Experience with data security protocols and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Product Management Skills:

• Product vision and strategy:
  • Ability to understand and contribute to the overall product vision.
  • Defining and communicating the product strategy for data management solutions.

Product backlog management:

• Prioritizing and managing the product backlog to ensure that the development team is working on the most valuable features.
• Ensuring data management features and enhancements are properly prioritized.

Stakeholder management:

• Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Engagement with stakeholders to identify and address data management needs.

Market understanding:

• Understanding the market in which the product operates and the needs of the users.
• Knowledge of trends and advancements in data management practices and technologies.

Communication skills:

Clear and concise communication of technical information to non-technical people, and clear communication of business needs to technical people.

Effectively convey the importance of data management solutions to various stakeholders.
