In the adoption of digital technologies, our client is digitizing processes for operators in the maintenance of their infrastructure. A good UX is crucial on these tools to guarantee the safety of people on the ground.</p><p></p><p>Mission description: </p><p>Nova is the our client’s design system, offering a comprehensive set of tools, components, and guidelines that streamline workflows for designers and developers. We reduce time-to-market and empower teams to build high-quality, consistent, and user-centric interfaces. Our mission is to enable creators to efficiently build solutions that people love, fostering collaboration, innovation, and enhanced user experience. Nova is continuously evolving to meet the changing needs of the our client, ensuring their design system remains relevant, user-friendly, and vital for their teams’ success. </p><p>We are seeking a Senior Design System Designer to join the Nova team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and evolving their design system, collaborating closely with developers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams across Belgium and Germany. Your work will help shape the future of their digital products, ensuring they are accessible, cohesive, and aligned with their broader organizational goals. </p><p></p><p><strong>Mission tasks:</strong> (non-exhaustive) </p><ul><li><p>Guide the ongoing development of Nova’s design language, ensuring it supports a diverse range of products across multiple platforms and technologies. </p></li><li><p>Collaborate with developers, UX Researcher, UI Designers, and stakeholders to create, maintain, and evolve components, UI patterns, and documentation. </p></li><li><p>Write clear, comprehensive documentation and usage guidelines to educate UX researchers, UI designers and engineers on how to effectively use components and patterns across design and code. </p></li><li><p>Review production components to ensure they match the UI library and meet Nova’s high standards for design and accessibility. </p></li><li><p>Evangelize and support the adoption of Nova across various teams, helping them transition smoothly to the new version of the design system.</p></li><li><p>Advocate for accessibility best practices, ensuring our design system and components are inclusive and user-friendly. </p></li><li><p>Support other Product Teams with UI Design tasks. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>What you bring: 7+ years of experience in UI Design or Interaction Design, with a proven track record of contributing to or leading the development of design systems in growing organizations. </p></li><li><p>Expert in creating component libraries with variables in Figma; strong understanding of product ecosystems; experience with design tokens. </p></li><li><p>Expert at navigating technical complexity and working productively with engineers. </p></li><li><p>A compelling portfolio showcasing your design projects, problem-solving abilities, and design process. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. </p></li><li><p>Experience in front-end development is a huge plus. </p></li><li><p>Understanding accessibility guidelines is a plus. </p></li><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Soft skills:</strong> </p><ul><li><p>Organized and transparent, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. </p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and synthesis skills, promoting simple solutions in complex environments. </p></li><li><p>Pragmatic and action-oriented, with a positive attitude and the ability to challenge requests in a collaborative and respectful manner. </p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, with a natural empathy for the user. </p></li><li><p>Autonomous, resilient, and passionate about Information Technologies. </p></li><li><p>Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German, French, or Dutch is a plus. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>OUR OFFER</strong><br/>- Contractual flexibility, a permanent contract or a freelance assignment;<br/>- Flexible working hours with the possibility of teleworking
