This is a compelling opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join an expanding business with an exciting vision and strategy. The position assists Controller with overseeing the financial accounting team and has responsibility for all aspects of accounting and the preparation of financial reports.
This is a full-time, exempt hybrid position.
The base salary range for this role is $120,000-$145,000 annual base salary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize the accounting function to ensure it can continue to provide first class support to the business as it expands through strong organic growth and acquisitions
- Oversee day to day accounting activities, such as A/P, A/R, GL as well as period-end close
- Oversee all activities related to state and federal tax compliance and Big 4 audits
- Prepare financial statements and other reports for internal and external key stakeholders
- Monitor changes in US GAAP and ensure adherence to all applicable pronouncements
- Champion internal controls improvement, implementation and application
- Implement the appropriate changes to the financial accounting workstreams following M&A transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, accounting system integration and financial reporting
- Support the Controller to ensure all key stakeholders across the business have the information necessary to help drive profitable growth, e.g. business planning, budgeting and analysis
- Participate and advise on key initiatives to optimize and transform the business
Qualifications
- CPA certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of five years accounting and/or audit experience; Big 4 experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
