This temporary assignment may transition to regular status.

Purpose

Assist the Device Loan Coordinator with the assistive device loan program. TTAP ships these devices all over Texas for people with disabilities to trial the tools for 35 days to collect data on their effectiveness. The temp will be involved with shipping, receiving, and maintaining these tools. This requires hands-on, in-person work- remote work is not an option.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry and processing of assistive technology devices into an existing database.

  • Maintain assistive technology devices and inventory.

  • Shipping and receiving of assistive technology devices.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Five years of clerical experience. Basic computer skills, comfortable with database entry, able to put technology items on and remove items from shelves (about laptop size or a bit bigger). Able to lift/carry 30-40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with assistive technology devices like augmentative communication tools, desktop imaging systems, adapting video gaming equipment, etc.

Hourly Rate

$20

Working Conditions

Business casual attire - nice jeans are considered business casual. If there is particularly "dirty" work (i.e. dusting storage shelves), attire may be adjusted. If other duties as assigned involve public interface, dressier business casual or UT Branded clothing may be appropriate.

Work Shift

  • M-F, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch
