Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced, motivated, and mission-driven Digital Transformation Focal to join the F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) Systems team.
The Digital Transformation Focal will work closely with overall F135 digital transformation lead and responsible for leading and managing all aspects of digital project integration in support of F135 ECU design and development phases of engineering. This person will leverage strong project management and technical acumen and lead impactful cross-functional teams to drive digital execution by employing industry leading project management best practices and standards.
This position will require significant collaboration, planning and real-time communication with P&W Digital Transformation team, P&W engineering teams to execute digital solutions on budget, with high quality and demonstrated value realization. The individual will be responsible to the execution of both traditional waterfall and agile execution frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of Digital Transformation and Model Based Engineering initiatives for the ECU program including identifying challenges and action plans.
- Develop Digital Engineering Implementation Plan (DEIP) and deliver to government customer at major review milestones.
- Develop detailed lower-level ECU digital requirements starting from government statement of work high-level requirements. Work with agile scrum master to convert requirements in to increment and sprint deliverables.
- Manage ECU Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Cameo models and Authoritative Sources of Truth used by Cameo models through revisioning and data governance.
- Work closely with ECU MBSE, Simulation Life Management (SLM), Model Based Definition, Manufacturing, and Inspection (MB-DMI) leads and practitioners to drive agile plan.
- Present compliance status to requirements to PW and government leadership at agile demo reviews and major program milestone reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum 10+ years prior relevant experience, or a master’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 7+ years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Gas Turbines, MBSE practice and Team Center.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Up to 10% Travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active security clearance
- Working knowledge of digital transformation software solutions that will enable technical conversion of engineering products such as analyses, technical data, and data storage (Solumina, Teamcenter, Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Cameo, MagicGrid, SysML, Digital Thread, Digital Twin.
- Working knowledge of Model Based: Analysis, Design, Lifting, Definition, Manufacturing/Inspection, Validation/Acceptance.
