Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Coordinates activities of Quality Technicians / Auditors as needed.
  • Train / mentor subordinate Quality Personnel as needed
  • Responsible for customer interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities.
  • Responsible for supplier interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities including APQP / PPAP.
  • Responsible for sample submissions for new product or engineering changes.
  • Maintain control plans, PFMEAs inspection and gage instructions and other assigned quality plan documentation
  • Lead problem solving activities for internal and external concerns relating to assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) documentation for assigned programs
  • Develop, implement and maintain data collection and metric systems to ensure effectiveness of quality systems.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by Management. Has the authority to approve sample submission documentation.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process and quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.
  • Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.
  • Grupo Antolin Quality Systems including Test Tool Management, QIM Management, NCR, SAP as applicable.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum four (4) year degree.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Certification, desired
  • Master Degree, optional

 

 Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Spanish language, desired
  • At least 3 years in automotive manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in supplier & customer related quality engineering role.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in APQP on new products in automotive industry.
  • Core AIAG Quality Training (PPAP, MSA, Control Planning, FMEA, SPC)
  • Demonstrate competency in metrology, blueprint reading, statistical techniques and color/appearance measurement.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS –
    • basic computer work,
    • standing and sitting in office and manufacturing plant environment,
    • may require material lifting and movement manually.
  • Travel – Approximately 10%  and is subject to change based upon customer needs
  • Domestic Travel within the US:  10%
