Mission:

 

• Advocating the ‘voice of the customer’ to obtain the highest quality expectations from production. Maintaining the integrity of the quality system with lean, cost effective strategies that meet the organization’s needs, executing the duties of the position such that the focus is largely proactive versus reactive. Develop effective customer relations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Process Owner of Control Plan for assigned commodity
• Interact with the customer to understand timing and expectations.
• Lead teams in problem solving process for quality/continual improvement ideas.
• Basic understanding of GD&T, gages and product capability.
• Pilot quality issues w/CFT towards resolution.
• Ensure PPAP requirements meet on time.
• Basic understanding of ATAR process
• Support pre-launch production trial and complete assigned tasks
• Work/teach inspector on gage measurements and capability.
• Approve product capabilities, both internal and external.
• Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
• Works as an effective team member in the department.
• Working knowledge of IATF
• Organize and maintain any containment activities; internal or Customer 3rd party.
