WHAT WILL YOU DO
This individual is responsible for directing Clinical Laboratory Operational Functions at the Central Laboratory. Key responsibilities include overseeing these functions to ensure high production, efficiency, quality and a high level of client satisfaction. This Director contributes to the C-suite functions of planning, strategy, research and development and overall operations of the Central Laboratory including the management of data systems and reporting. This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of the Catholic Healthcare while performing job functions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education/Training/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in the Sciences and Medical technology training –or- requirements as defined in Section 493.1461 of Public Health Service Act 42 CFR Part 493 CLIA 88 for general supervisor.
Qualifications are as follows:
Be a licensed physician or have an advanced degree (masters of doctoral) in chemical, physical, biological, clinical lab science or medical technology from an accredited institution, plus have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing.
Be qualified as a Technologist, plus have at least 1 additional year of lab training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing.
Be qualified as a Technician with an associate degree in lab science or medical lab technology from an accredited institution, plus have 2 additional years of lab training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing.
Be qualified as a Technician with a high school diploma and successful completion of a HHS approved or military clinical lab training program, plus have 2 additional years of lab training or experience, or both, in high complexity, testing either before or after completing the training program.
Be qualified as a Technician with high school diploma and serving as General supervisor for high complexity testing on or before 9/1/92.
This individual must also have 10 years of lab training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing, including at least 6 years of supervisory experience between 9/1/82 and 9/1/92
Additional requirements:
Training and relevant experience in high complexity testing of Hematology, Immunology, Chemistry, Toxicology or Microbiology. At least four (4) years experience in a clinical laboratory setting with at least two (2) years’ supervisory experience required. Relevant experience in handling client complaints/concerns/issues a plus.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
