<span>Job Summary:</span>
<p><span>• This position is the Methods of Administration (MOA) Coordinator for the State of Arizona to ensure the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) monitoring/compliance activities are enacted to provide students with equitable access to high-quality educational programs.<br/>• Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.<br/><br/>The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upo n business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate. <br/></span></p>

<span>Job Duties:</span>
<p><span>• Compose letters and correspondence to align with State of Arizona's Memorandum of Procedures to communicate information regarding OCR review, document submissions, and follow through of the Voluntary Compliance Plan that align to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the accessibility standards<br/>• Conduct on-site reviews which includes providing on-site professional development, conducting interviews with staff, students, administration and district office personnel, completing a physical review of local facilities and facilitate an exit interview to share initial compliance findings as they relate to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the accessibility standards <br/>• Write detailed reports such as the Letter of Finding Reports to Local Education Agency (LEA) which are aligned to the Civil Rights Acts and the biennial OCR Review Report to the Office of Civil Rights in Washington D.C. providing documentation of all OCR Methods of Administration activities within the State of Arizona<br/>• Develop and provide professional learning opportunities and technical assistance through face-to-face and virtual methods in collaboration with unit leadership, personnel, and/or external partners, this includes but is not limed to opportunities related to Voluntary Compliance Plan within OCR, state and federal, reporting, funding and coding, and measures of compliance in relationship to the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, Perkins V and Career and Technology State Priority Grant applications<br/>• Review grant applications to ensure grantees are accessing and expending fiscal resources in accordance with the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) and Performance Measure Improvement Plan (PMIP) to provide equitable access to a high-quality career and technical education programs for all students<br/>• Review grant applications to ensure grant funds are appropriately budgeted and expended in accordance with program requirements as well as state and federal law<br/>• Prepare and complete administrative and monitoring reports as well as provide grantees with guidance on state and federal budgeting and funding compliance in accordance with the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR), Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR), and OMB Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG)<br/>• Consults with and advises grant recipients in the planning, development, organization, implementation and evaluation of Career and Technical Education programs (including supplemental services for Special Populations participating in CTE).<br/></span></p>
