Job Description
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a quality military veteran or IC Agency counterpart to join our team supporting customer operations on-site in the Maryland area. This position is for a Lead Military Analyst (Military Operations Analyst 3), directly supporting the customer and functioning as their primary conduit for operational support of Identity Management (IM) physical and virtual activities supporting worldwide missions. The team of analysts assists with enabling technical and tactical operations based on their expert assessments of the operating environment and the adversary in conjunction with the common operational picture. The Lead Military Analyst will enhance joint collaborative planning and assist all echelons to achieve operational dominance.
Provides policy and IM recommendations to government senior-level staff, based on a comprehensive analysis that utilizes the tenets, principles, and DoD directives associated with IM methodologies. The incumbent will work independently or in small group situations, developing solutions to problem sets, including alternatives based on a thorough knowledge of the situation utilizing IM principles in recommending viable options.
Under the direction of the designated HII project manager, and within the scope of work, the Lead will perform multi-faceted sensitive assignments requiring the analysis and synthesis of complex systems and assigned projects supporting the CCMD.
As the Lead, the incumbent will serve as the focal point for liaison activities with CCMD program staff and other military organizations as assigned. The Lead works closely with the customer to anticipate future requirements and develops and evaluates plans for projects or program activities that meet the urgent operational needs of the command.
Additionally, the Lead will use best practices and ingenuity to assess and recommend the feasibility of proposed approaches to solve problems. The incumbent must possess a thorough knowledge of applicable operational mission areas and national defense requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Leadership: Leads and participates in working groups, program development forums, analytical activities, readiness exercises, training, education, and other forums as required to accomplish contract requirements.
- Operational Analysis: Lead the analysis and provide recommendations on issues dealing with military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises.
- Coordination: Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.
- Quality Assurance: Establishes and monitors standards for the quality of programs and documents. Assists in the resolution of project and program priorities. Ensures quality control throughout all contract activities.
- Communication: Demonstrates superior writing and presentation skills to develop briefings, documents, papers, conceptual, and analytical reports for clients.
- Training Assessment: Investigate the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers, or simulated wartime operations undertaken to maintain the capabilities of a force.
- Program Evaluation: Compares, analyzes, and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.
- Doctrine Application: Applies established and emerging doctrine and tactics in changes or modifications to system design and development.<
