As a Business Architect Sr within PNC's Asset Management Group (AMG) Technology Strategy, Architecture, and Innovation organization, you will be responsible for developing business architectures and strategic roadmaps that enable key outcomes for PNC’s Asset Management Group (e.g., wealth management, private bank, investment office, institutional asset management). You will be based either in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX. or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Description:
This senior-level position is responsible for Strategy, Architecture, and Innovation. It interacts with senior business and technology leaders, SMEs, and our solution architecture team to bridge the gap of current state business needs with the future state objectives culminating in technology strategies, roadmaps, and architectures that will enable business outcomes and drive transformation. In this role, you will draw upon your business and technology experience to partner with these key stakeholders to ensure that the strategic business capability needs, technology perspectives, architectures, artifacts, and roadmaps are well crafted, presented, and achieve consensus. You will be required to understand complex business and system interactions to develop business architecture deliverables (e.g., value streams, journey maps, capability models & assessments, roadmaps, investment & rationalization decisions) that support continuous improvement and large-scale transformation initiatives.
Candidates should have a strong background in business architecture, with good working knowledge of solution architecture. Strong candidates will also have business domain knowledge of the wealth management / private bank space and generally of the financial services industry. This role will also assess and drive technology/integration strategies to gain operational efficiencies, optimize product offerings and deliver a compelling client value proposition, ensuring that the bank’s portfolio of capabilities and enabling solutions are leveraged to their full potential.

This position is highly visible, and influential, demanding candidates to be strategic, conscientious, deliberate, and able to build deep relationships with key partners. This role requires proven thought leadership, networking skills, interpersonal communication, political & emotional intelligence, written communication, and the ability to understand and anticipate emerging business needs and technology capabilities.

Successful candidates will possess:
• Experience in clarifying Business objectives and needed capabilities and translating them to a technology strategy, and creating deliverables that communicate the strategy and relevant architectural elements.
• Ability to analyze and construct domain-wide perspectives for senior and executive level stakeholders, as a basis for, or in response to, strategic planning.
• Knowledge and/or working background of various architecture disciplines – Business, Application, Solution, Data, Technology, Security
• Exposure to and conceptual understanding of technologies such as applications, middleware, events, APIs, database, user experience, mobile, web.
• Ability to create architecture deliverables including business capability maps, context diagrams, business strategy maps, customer journeys, current state architecture, future state architecture, architectural decisions, and roadmaps.
• Demonstrate continual learning, strategic thinking, and application of emerging trends in business and technology domains.
• Professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe, Business Architecture Guild CBA, Lean/Six-Sigma)
