The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Full Time position available, D/E, primarily weekdays with occasional weekend/holiday requirement per service needs. 8/9/10/12 hour shifts available, self-scheduling. 

The Perioperative Flex Team (PFT) is more than covering staffing holes- we are an incredible group of highly trained, engaging, solutions-oriented nurses that can seamlessly work throughout the entire perioperative services. Join a team that values versatility, critical thinking, and growth. In the PFT, you’ll build expertise across pre-op, post-op, PACU, and beyond while caring for adult and pediatric patients across the perioperative spectrum of care. The ideal candidate is a dynamic nurse that balances critical thinking, nursing judgment and can maintain flexibility and independence while remaining team oriented. The main areas that PFT covers include the Strong Surgical Center (SSCB) in the basement, the Strong Surgical Center (SSC2) on the second floor and the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). We also have nurses working in the Neurovascular OR and GI in the ambulatory tower. This exciting position requires strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills, along with a willingness to work in variable settings and flexibility to the changing needs of the assignment within a shift. Requires two years of acute care nursing, critical care experience preferred but not required.
