About the role
Our Home is seeking a highly motivated Demand Planner to join our supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing demand forecasts, analyzing sales trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels.
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing demand forecasts to purchasing raw materials and the production of finished products. This role will work closely with the Sales, Purchasing, and Production teams to make sure inventory levels are maintained and planned.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage Sales Forecast for multiple brands and SKUs.
- Assist Production Planning team with Material Forecasts and Supply Planning.
- Manage the process of moving demand planning to NetSuite
- Monitor daily demand to identify trends, noting outliers and deviations from plan, and adjust accordingly.
- Ensure demand plan is updated and maintained in a timely manner to accurately drive MRP generation.
- Work to seek improvements to process, technique, and execution, as well as adoption of improved systems and or tools.
- Create and publish metrics to evaluate overall plan/process effectiveness.
- Track KPIs around forecast to actual sales
- Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, or another related field
- 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, retail planning, forecasting, supply chain, or business analysis
- Experience with Netsuite MRP systems
- Experience with forecast planning tools
- High level Excel skills (e.g. macros, complex formulas, pivots, queries)
- Ability to work with all levels of employees and build effective working relationships.
- Ability to own your job and eagerness to create new processes to scale the operations department.
- Strong Analytical Skills and ability to communicate details clearly and effectively.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience in processed and packaged food industry, or consumer packaged goods industry.
