SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…

As a Supply-Demand Planner for Pure Storage, you will play a pivotal role in managing demand forecasting and supply planning. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal product availability, mitigate risks, and drive operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING…

• Demand Forecasting:
• Forecast demand for Pure products with input from Product Management, Finance, and other stakeholders.
• Customer Co-Planning with Key Account teams/Customers; Supplier Co-Planning with Assigned Suppliers
• Consolidate demand across multiple internal and external streams to ensure a comprehensive demand signal for build planning.
• Planning Strategies:
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks of availability and Excess & Obsolescence (E&O).
• Manage planning strategies for product and key component transitions.
• Create Key Commodity requirements and risk management strategies for assigned commodities to address potential disruptions.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work cross-functionally to align on planning strategies and support seamless execution.
• Co-plan with flash drives and server manufacturers on request-commit processes, ensuring alignment on supply availability.
• Prepare and present forecast content and insights for monthly/quarterly S&OP and ad-hoc meetings.
• Strategic Insights & Market Trends:
• Analyze market trends, geo-political impacts, and supply chain dynamics to inform strategic planning.
• Forecast attach rates and fill rates for product options to accurately predict sub-assembly and key commodity demand.
• Process Optimization & Tools:
• Use internal tools to track monthly bookings, forecasts, and demand trends.
• Lead and support the creation of new business processes and implementation of tools to enable scaling and improve the Demand Planning Team’s capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing Operations, Business, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
• Master Planning/Production Scheduler (MPS) experience with Contract Manufacturers.
• Proven experience in supply-demand planning, preferably in the hyperscale or technology industry.
• Strong understanding of market trends, key commodities, and global supply chain dynamics.
• Experience in Supply Chain Planning for Hyperscale Infrastructure, including Compute, Storage or Networking Products, or related Commodities (CPU, NAND, DRAM, PCI/HBA cards, etc.)
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and Demand Management tools; experience with statistical forecasting and data analytics is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to generate accurate product and component forecasts.
• Collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience leading the rollout of ERP, Demand Management, or S&OP systems and a background in Program Management are desirable.
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity. 

There is no application deadline and we accept applications on an ongoing basis until the job is filled.

The annual base salary range is: $134,000—$202,000 USD
