Job Summary

PSEG is looking for an Intern for the Commercial Development.


This job involves working as an Intern in the Commercial Development organization, utilizing a broad knowledge of business, Finance, engineering principles and practices acquired through on-the-job training and academic experience. The job includes providing support for PJM Bid Windows, Offshore Transmission and Data Center, conducting and presenting industry research, supporting Transmission advocacy, attending site visits and presentations to enhance both technical knowledge and business acumen, keeping abreast of current events and developing an understanding of the underlying commercial & technical drivers for Commercial Development.  
 

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
•    This position will support growth initiatives through a variety of tasks in a complex development environment that includes competitive regulated transmission, clean hydrogen and non-traditional opportunities to grow our utilities.
•    Tasks can include conducting industry analysis, maintaining action items, preparing presentations, and reviewing PJM bid submittals. 
•    The position may support the development of proposals to apply to competitive solicitations and funding opportunities.  
•    Conduct research on state and federal energy policies and keep abreast of developments in the energy industry.  
•    Participate in discussions with vendors to discuss and assess technologies relates to Hydrogen, Transmission, and other commercial development initiatives.
•    Able to work independently, be energetic, inquisitive, and a team player.
•    Demonstrate ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.      

Job Specific Qualifications

Required education/skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Data Science, Business Management, Finance or Accounting and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. Students graduating in May/June 2025 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2025.
