Job Summary

PSEG is looking for an Intern for the Corporate Communications Department. 


This job involves working as a(n) graphic designer under the Creative & Branding team. Individual will have hands on opportunity to gain hands on experience in a creative environment.   


This position will be remote local. 

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas: Graphic Design & Branding, Marketing, Photo & Video, Social Media. 
•    Assist with daily operational tasks such as file organization and asset management. 
•    Collaborate on design projects from initial brainstorm to final production. 
•    Support graphics team in developing visual assets for both digital and print. 
•    Participate in cross-functional meetings with the social media, video, & photography teams. 
•    Help produce and edit content for various areas. 
•    Learn to apply best practices in design typography, layout, and color theory. 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. Students graduating in May/June 2025 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2025. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.


•    Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
•    Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
•    Basic understanding or design principles including typography, color theory, layouts, etc. 
•    Strong organization skills and attention to detail. 
•    Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. 
•    Eagerness to learn and adapt to dynamic fast paces settings. 

 

Preferred: 

•    3.0 GPA
•    Experience with video editing 
•    Basic photography and video knowledge is a plus 
•    Experience with collaboration tools (Canva, Miro, or similar software).
