At <strong>MYTILINEOS</strong>, we foster a culture of <strong>resilience</strong>, <strong>challenge</strong>, <strong>respect</strong>, <strong>excellence</strong>, and <strong>change</strong>, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.</p><p>We are currently looking for a <strong>Senior Accountant</strong> to join our <strong>Finance</strong> team in Milan, Italy, as part of our subsidiary, METKA EGN.</p><p>By joining this role, you will stay up-to-date and compliant with accounting, tax, and HQs rules, policies, and requirements of the legal entities in Italy.</p><p><strong>Your role will encompass:</strong></p><ul> <li>Manage and perform accounting activities (issuing of sale invoices, booking of invoices from suppliers), supporting the younger members of the team</li> <li>Prepare payments to suppliers, monitor the receivables, and reconcile bank statements for several legal entities.</li> <li>Preparing accounting analyses and reports if and when needed</li> <li>Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditures if and when needed.</li> <li>Assisting the Country Finance Manager and the Controllers with preparing and monitoring budgets</li> <li>Maintaining and reconciling the balance sheet and general ledger accounts.</li> <li>Assisting the Country Finance Manager with annual audit activities</li> <li>Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance</li> <li>Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns under the supervision and guidance of the Country Finance Manager and the external tax advisor</li> <li>Contributing to the development and implementation of accounting system (SAP), programs, and procedures.</li> <li>Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned</li> </ul><p><strong>What you bring to the role:</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of accounting experience</li> <li> Good working knowledge of tax laws and both OIC (ITA GAAP) and IAS/IFRS, in particular IFRS 15, IAS 7, IAS 16, IAS 21, IAS 23, IAS 24, IAS 38, and IFRS 9</li> <li> Strong accounting and tax skills (VAT, withholding tax, CIT, etc.)</li> <li> Good financial analysis skills (management accounting)</li> <li> Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li> <li> Strong organizational and stress management skills (respect to deadlines in terms of tax compliance and calendar of reporting, IAS/IFRS compliant).</li> <li> Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel</li> <li> Very good knowledge of SAP</li> <li> Ability to train and manage younger members of the team and deal with controllers and project managers to collect proper information and/or documentation</li> </ul><p><strong>Your Benefits:</strong></p><ul> <li>Attractive remuneration package</li> <li>Friendly and professional working environment</li> <li>Continuous training</li> <li>Cooperation, creativity and innovation: we adopt flexible cooperation models to achieve fast results and increased productivity</li> </ul><p>Follow us on <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/mytilineos-holdings-s--a-/mycompany/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">LinkedIn</a> and stay updated on our latest news</p><p>We respect your personal data.
