Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.
What You Will Do:
Life Cycle Engineering seeks an experienced Sr. System Sustainment Engineer based out of Andover, MA.
In this role, you’ll be involved in all aspects of system sustainment activities for the PATRIOT system within Integrated Air and Missile Defense, Sensors -Ground Radar Platforms within Land and Air Defense Systems. You will support the lead engineer in gathering information and answering technical questions with respect to repair capabilities and sourcing, obsolescence impacts and depot operations.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Providing general engineering support and product sustainment activities for PATRIOT ground and missile systems.
- Acting as a liaison with all engineering disciplines, such as Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Materials and Processes, and Structural design functions
- Analyzing material consumption and obsolescence to inform long term product support, including: spares recommendations, maintenance procedure updates, parts and materials substitutions and repair capabilities.
- Reviewing depot procedures and cost estimations to complete repairs within contractual limits.
- Providing inputs and create briefings for peer reviews, program reviews, and working groups.
Domestic & International travel may be required (approximately 10% domestic and 5% international)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and 5 years of relevant engineering, sustainment and/or field support experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
- Experience reviewing technical drawings/schematics.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Systems of Systems mindset
- An understanding of the use of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, interface control documents, and electrical schematics)
- Familiarity with factory operations, procedures, and depot flow activities
- Broad knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) processes, including sustainment and supportability principles and concepts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with team members
- Experience working with US Military programs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
