Freedom Square of Seminole is looking for a Director of Clinical Reimbursement who is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, maintenance and timely completion of the MDS, care plans and medical records for residents. Responsibilities

• Oversees the MDS Coordinators that completes the MDS, resident care plans and conferences on the computerized system.
• Direct management of the MDS Coordinator to assure accuracy and completeness of entire medical record.
• Assures and monitors that MDSs are completed within HCFA and Medicare guidelines.
• Ensures MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations.
• Participates in family/resident care plan conferences.  Manages the oversight of this process and serves as a direct point of contact for any escalations or concerns from residents and families.
• Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.

Skills

• RN preferred, but will interview LPNs as well
• Supervisory experience required
• Experience with MDS transmittal process and understanding of regulations impacting the MDS
• In-depth experience and knowledge working with MDS computer software
