Regent’s operationally focused investment model is centered on driving innovation, performance improvement, and long-term value creation.</p> <p>As Regent continues expanding its European footprint, we are seeking a high-caliber Senior Associate to support both M&amp;A transactions and portfolio operations across the firm’s automotive and industrial investments in Germany and greater Europe.</p> <p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p> <p>The Senior Associate, M&amp;A and Portfolio Operations will play a dual role supporting the full deal lifecycle—from acquisition through transformation and value creation within the portfolio. This role is ideal for a highly analytical, hands-on professional with a background in restructuring consulting and a solid foundation in finance or investment analysis.</p> <p>You will work closely with Regent’s investment professionals, Operating Partners, and portfolio company leadership to identify acquisition targets, support diligence, and execute operational improvements post-close.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>M&amp;A and Investment Execution:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the end-to-end deal process including sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring.</li> <li>Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify new investment opportunities in Europe.</li> <li>Prepare investment committee materials and assist in coordination of external advisors (legal, financial, technical).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Portfolio Operations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with portfolio company management teams to support and track key transformation initiatives across functions (e.g., supply chain, SG&amp;A, working capital, plant operations).</li> <li>Monitor and improve financial performance through KPI tracking, operational benchmarking, and value creation plans.</li> <li>Assist in integration planning and execution for newly acquired businesses.</li> <li>Identify cost savings, revenue enhancement, and process improvement opportunities in collaboration with Regent’s Operating Partners.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Interface regularly with Regent’s Los Angeles headquarters and European leadership to ensure alignment on strategic and operational goals.</li> <li>Act as a trusted advisor to portfolio company CEOs and functional leads.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Ideal Candidate Profile:</strong></p> <p><strong>Experience &amp; Background:</strong></p> <ul> <li>4–7 years of experience in a top-tier restructuring consulting firm, private equity, investment banking, or a transaction advisory practice.</li> <li>Strong track record of executing complex transactions and/or operational improvement projects.</li> <li>Experience in the automotive, industrials, or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.</li> <li>Previous exposure to the private equity environment or portfolio company operations is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.</li> <li>Comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings.</li> <li>Fluency in <strong>German and English</strong> is required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Regent:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Play a direct role in transforming companies and creating long-term value.</li> <li>Exposure to both deal execution and operational strategy in a global investment platform.</li> <li>Work alongside seasoned investors and operators with deep industry expertise.</li> <li>Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives.</li> <li>Entrepreneurial and collaborative culture with global opportunities for growth.</li> </ul>
