About the role

You will be accountable for administration, management, and proper monitoring of the IT infrastructure which includes on-premise, off-premise, and office IT service components. Support multiple platforms and engineers across different PU’s with effective IT services best practices across different domains. Solve blocker incidents and problem resolutions in a 24x7 capacity and participate in oncall rotations. Purpose of this role is to lead system engineering best practices in the company with the goal to effectively protect the stability, security, and feature enhancements of IT services across TomTom’s global network.<br/>We’re Core Infrastructure team. In this role you will be responsible for capabilities that help ensure TomTom’s business operates efficiently and services are best delivered to internal teams and customers. These teams and capabilities include: Enterprise IT for business applications such as SAP, Salesforce and Workday; Employee IT for equipment and productivity tools; Information Security to ensure our products, services and systems are secure; Commercial IT to support our product development teams; Enterprise Architecture to improve business performance; and IT Service Management to ensure our services meet or exceed customer expectations. <h3>What you’ll do:</h3> <ul> <li>Implement and recommend best practices and process efficiencies and continually update documentation</li><li>Evaluate roadmaps and future IT solutions to ensure best practices and solutions</li><li>Introduce automation techniques and failover methodologies to reduce risk</li><li>Test network services using industry standard analysis criteria</li><li>Perform daily operational responsibilities to include incidents, problems, and customer requests in a timely manner.</li><li>Participate in proper capacity planning and availability management of services and infrastructure.</li><li>Alert and resolve any IT service issues and communicate them accordingly</li><li>Capacity planning and availability management of services and infrastructure</li><li>Work closely with peer infrastructure and application engineers.</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation as a global team for after-hours support</li><li>Reduce the complexity in design of IT services to include consolidation of multiple technologies and services.</li><li>Increase more advanced monitoring techniques of these services to increase stability.</li><li>Automation of service management for streamlined process deployment and support in public and private cloud.</li><br/></ul> <h3>What you’ll need:</h3> <ul> <li>Extensive experience with complex heterogeneous DNS environments</li><li>Experience with IPAM and DHCP</li><li>Experience with Infoblox, BIND, and Microsoft DNS</li><li>Experience in private and public clouds to include Azure, AWS, Openstack, and VMware</li><li>Experience in scripting to include Python, UNIX shell, Powershell, Rest APIs, and Network Automation</li><li>Experience with configuration management and deployment tools such as Ansible, Github Actions, and Terraform</li><li>Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Microsoft operating systems</li><li>Understanding of network concepts including routing, switching, and network security</li><li>Experience in working in collaboration with different engineering teams</li><li>Experience with Active Directory</li><li>Able to work under pressure</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>On-call support required</li><li>Some travel required</li><br/></ul><b><span>What we offer </span></b><br/>A competitive compensation package, of course.  <br/>Time and resources to grow and develop, including a personal development budget and paid leave for learning days, as well as paid access to e-learning resources such as O’Reilly and LinkedIn Learning. <br/>Time to support life outside of work, with enhanced parental leave plus paid leave to care for loved ones and volunteer in local communities.  <br/>Work flexibility, where TomTom’ers, in agreement with their manager and team, use both the office and home to focus, collaborate, learn and socialize.
