Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end operational processes for the People function, serving as a trusted SME across the business.
- Apply creative problem-solving to analyze issues comprehensively and devise scalable solutions.
- Proactively explore and scrutinize People processes, anticipating potential problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to gain insights, diverse perspectives, and a deep understanding of process intricacies, business needs, and stakeholder impact.
- Leverage data to advocate for enhancements aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee the PEO relationship and ensure international employment compliance for legal entities abroad.
- Partner with our global People teams to maintain process consistency & accurate data.
- Responsible for immigration processing.
- Develop and lead project plans for change management initiatives, including employee communication.
- Administer a compliance monitoring program, preparing documentation and reports.
- Conduct regular audits of people practices, ensuring updates are aligned with applicable laws and regulations, published, and communicated to employees.
- Proactively research HR legal changes to ensure company compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Actively seek out and recommend best practices, emerging trends, and innovative solutions.
- Thrive in an environment with ambiguous direction, charting a course to address complex challenges.
- Validate and maintain accurate employee data records, ensuring consistency and compliance through meticulous verification and audit processes.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6+ years of human resources experience
- Workday experience preferred but not required
- Demonstrated experience managing impactful projects on time and within scope
- Proven ability to deliver operational excellence by streamlining processes, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement
- Experience working in a global environment Capable of dissecting complicated challenges, and formulating innovative solutions that drive impactful outcomes and are built to scale
- Experience in data analysis using Microsoft Excel, including proficiency in functions, formulas, and data visualization (such as Tableau) is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to a variety of stakeholders
- Self-motivated and driven to take initiative and be curious about challenges, especially when direction or problem is unclear
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees
- Ability to analyze possible solutions to issues within laws, regulations, and company rules
- Be able to effectively multi-task and be flexible to adapt to changing business situations
Additional Information
Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $67,000 to $102,600. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $89,300 to $120,7
