The Role at a Glance
This position will deliver more complex projects aligned with technical infrastructure and IT operations technologies. Will also act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. This position is responsible for establishing and leading more complex enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives and leads a variety of different infrastructure projects.
What you'll be doing
- Manages and delivers more complex projects following established project management standards and processes as designated by their assigned area of responsibility.
- Develops and executes disciplined project management practices throughout the project development lifecycle, including but not limited to project planning, resource planning, communications planning, and managing changes to scope and/or timeline.
- Maintains a comprehensive and up-to-date project plan that accurately represents the full scope of work.
- Monitors and evaluates more complex projects’ progress and performance against the project plan and develops mitigation plans.
- Analyzes assigned project plans to validate if project outcomes will meet the business needs, align/support operational plans/objectives, and recommend mitigation plans.
- Utilizes influence skills to help achieve desired project outcomes.
- Collaborates effectively with management and appropriate project stakeholders on more complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects.
- Consults with project owners and appropriate stakeholders to manage project quality.
- Facilitates project communications with sponsors and other leaders/contributors.
- Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on project management best practice standards, templates, and practices.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- May serve as a mentor and share knowledge with project managers and project team members.
What we’re looking for
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
- 3 - 5+ Years of hands-on Project Management experience specifically aligned with technical infrastructure and IT operations projects (Required).
- This role demands a strong background in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives involving various enterprise technologies. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in leading projects that can include:
Network Infrastructure: Upgrades or replacements of network devices.
Server OS Upgrades: Large-scale Windows and Linux operating system upgrades.
Database Platforms: MS SQL and Oracle upgrades.
Data Center Installations: Deployment of racks, power systems, and network components.
File Transfer Systems: Modernization or replacement of file transfer platforms.
End-User Device Rollouts: Upgrades and configuration changes across user endpoints.
Security Infrastructure: Firewall and load balancer upgrade/replacements.
Identity Management: Active Directory upgrade or migration efforts.
Disaster Recovery: Planning, testing, and validation of DR capabilities

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
