Job Summary

You are a doer known for getting things done and making the complicated digestible for others.  You have naturally gravitated to a leadership role because of your passion, commitment, and expertise, and you have managed/developed other developers through your role or position.  You are an expert in Agile methodologies and see the world in algorithms and processes.  Now, you are looking to develop a team to the superstar level to meet your standards while delivering an industry-changing platform.

The position requires strong, strategic leadership, a mindset towards change, and extensive experience using the Agile/Scrum methodology.  The Software Manager will map all business requirements, develop and maintain KPIs for the team, and collaborate with key strategic partners and other project teams to achieve clearly defined results within the agreed-upon time.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Manage activities and priorities of Front-end and Back-end onshore and offshore developers.
• Coordinate with other teams to align project deliverables and resources based on the organization's timelines.
• Represent the teams at status, planning, and collaborative meetings.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects, which include analyzing business requirements, negotiating scope, defining functional requirements, planning timelines, and allocating resources.
• Utilize Agile/Scrum to ensure proper alignment of resources and project priorities.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner, Architecture and SMEs to break down a mulit-generational product 
• Participate in employee recruiting and selection.
• Conduct employee evaluations to ensure each employee has a development plan, is challenged, and is motivated to continue their professional growth.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of project management/Lead experience
• 5+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of software architecture experience
• Strong experience in Agile methodology and applying it to projects with hardware and firmware dependencies
• Professional programming experience in at least 2 languages C++, C#, React, CSS, and Javascript
• Knowledge of user-interface design concepts
• Ability to recognize and prioritize requests to provide maximum project success
• Experience as a Scrum Master (preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft TFS, VSTS, ADOS, Jira, or related project management software (preferred)
