Lead Corporate Legal Attorney – AI Governance/Regulation (Hybrid)

Position Compensation Range:
$128,000.00 - $216,000.00Pay Rate Type:

Primary Accountabilities
- You will represent the corporation in administrative and regulatory forums.
- You will select and supervise outside counsel to assist with corporate initiatives, transactions, and regulatory matters. You will ensure effective communication and coordination between the corporation and outside counsel.
- You will provide legal services and participate in the development of corporate and enterprise strategies.
- You will draft, review, and interpret corporation contracts including vendor agreements, documents for transactions, and agents' agreements. You may draft and review legal documentation for financial and investment transactions.
- You will analyze legal questions, conduct legal research, and advise leadership in various areas of the corporation.
- You will perform all necessary and required legal accountabilities to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- You will review and advise the corporation on proposed and current legislation and regulations.
- You will review and advise the corporation on policy forms and filings.
- You will oversee research and analysis work of support staff and paralegals.
- You will lead projects or programs and develop the strategy for project execution or legal support for project execution for clients.
- You will contribute to other department and organization projects as assigned.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
Demonstrated experience providing legal guidance in highly complex/highly visible situations.
Demonstrated experience identifying complex legal and strategic business issues and providing practical legal analysis and advice.
Advanced legal analytical skills and knowledge of complex legal concepts.
Demonstrated experience to communicate with tact, diplomacy, and persuasiveness.
Admitted to the state bar in the state where they are located or (1) admission to the bar within one year of hire for individuals who must pass a bar exam or portions of a bar exam to be admitted or (2) bar admission as soon as practicable but no later than 60 days of hire for individuals with diploma privilege or who are eligible for in-house counsel registration.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Previous experience providing advice related to AI governance and AI regulation beneficial.
Education
Juris Doctor.
Travel Requirements
Up to 25%.
