AutoStore is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our R&D team, where you will develop and enhance our products, within an environment that values everyone's contribution and development while working alongside our engineering experts, product owners, and other resources.
Key Task and Responsibilities:
Maintain a comprehensive overview of your assigned product, ensuring quality, structural integrity, and design alignment
Assess product performance within the AutoStore`s context, identifying technical gaps and driving broad improvements
Take an Active role in structural assessments, including performing with load calculations, FEA analysis, mechanical integrity, etc.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Partners, Product Owners, Project Managers, and R&D teams to meet project objectives.
Lead improvement initiatives by assembling and guiding project teams while fostering a collaborative, cross-disciplinary development culture
We’re seeking candidates with:
5+ years of practical experience in mechanical design for manufacturing, assembly, and mass production with a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or any related field.
Proficiency in 3D CAD, FEA simulations, FMEA, ISO GPS, and PLM systems.
Product Development Experience prototyping and designing for processes like sheet metal stamping, die casting, or injection molding, using DfA and DfM principles.
The ability to thrive in Testing and Improvement: material testing, troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement.

Location for this role is our either our Headquarters in Vindafjord (Nedre Vats) or Oslo, (Lysaker).
