This role is focused on designing and maintaining cloud-native automation frameworks and observability solutions in highly controlled and secure environments. You will play a key role in engineering infrastructure-as-code (IaC), building REST APIs, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and enabling platform readiness for cloud adoption</span></p> <p><span>Key Responsibilitie</span></p> <ul> <li><span>Design, develop, and maintain automation and observability tooling for hyperscaler-like network environments (e.g., VPNs, subnets, private connectivity, load balancers)</span></li> <li><span>Engineer and maintain internal RESTful APIs for seamless integration across cloud platforms and internal systems</span></li> <li><span>Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar</span></li> <li><span>Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing, deployment, and version control.</span></li> <li><span>Architect, implement, and document Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions that ensure cloud readiness for internal and external stakeholders</span></li> <li><span>Provide hands-on support for containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and related automation workflows</span></li> <li><span>Mentor internal teams on cloud-native, DevOps, and automation best practices.</span></li> <li><span>Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into production-grade solutions</span></li> <li><span>Deliver technical documentation, training sessions, and workshops to support onboarding and stakeholder enablement</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong><br/>What You Bring</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>3-5 years in DevOps roles with a strong focus on automation and infrastructure</span></li> <li><span>3+ years of experience in Python programming and 2+ years of hands-on experience with at least one hyperscaler cloud platform (AliCloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP)</span></li> <li><span>Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible</span></li> <li><span>Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)</span></li> <li><span>Strong background in cloud networking concepts (routing, load balancing, VPNs, firewalling, DNS)</span></li> <li><span>Experience in REST API development and backend integrations</span></li> <li><span>Ability to design scalable cloud architectures and infrastructure patterns</span></li> <li><span>Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps pipelines, and infrastructure security principles</span></li> <li><span>Excellent stakeholder-facing communication and collaboration skills</span></li> <li><span>Experience with OpenStack environments and cloud-native infrastructure is highly desirable</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Meet the team</strong></span></p> <p><span>The Sovereign Cloud Automation &amp; Tooling (SAT) team builds secure, scalable, and compliant automation solutions for SAP’s Sovereign Cloud operations.
