Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Compensation (Based on experience and qualifications)

Location: South Chicago

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team.  Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager (HRM) will work collaboratively with the Director of Human Resources and all Human Resources (HR) team members to implement, monitor, and revise organizational policies and procedures, with particular focus on talent recruitment, development, and retention, developing, and maintaining, internal and external relationships within the organization regarding talent recruitment. Oversight of Human Resources support staff, performance management, review, and implementation; benefits administration, and employee and labor relations. Serves as the back-up to the Director of Human Resources.  

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. - 5+ years of experience in HR management. - Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Responsibilities:


Talent Acquisition, Retention, Development, and Training

  • Partner with leadership to execute talent strategies, recruit for key roles, track and report recruitment/retention metrics, and implement engagement tools like recognition and rewards programs. 
  • Leads recruitment for provider and director/manager-level positions, aligning hires with organizational needs. 
  • Tracks and reports on recruitment and retention metrics, such as time-to-fill, turnover rates, and candidate success. 
  • Builds relationships with external organizations for candidate sourcing, including educational and community programs. 
  • Champions onboarding to ensure high-quality experiences that align with CFHC’s values and vision. 
  • Oversee onboarding processes, develop learning programs, and support management effectiveness initiatives.   
  • Designs and delivers innovative learning programs for the full employment lifecycle, using both online and in-person methods. 
  • Collaborates with HR leadership on performance management processes, reporting, and tracking. 

 Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Review and recommend updates to HR policies and the Employee Handbook in collaboration with HR leadership and CFHC legal counsel. 
  • Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.   
  • Maintain SHRM membership to support professional development and knowledge. 

 Credentialing Management:

  • Manage provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes, ensuring compliance with all guidelines. 
  • Maintain accurate records in the credentialing database and coordinate documentation with providers and agencies.
  •  Serve as a liaison for credentialing inquiries and update policies to meet regulatory standards.  

 Employee and Labor Relations:

  • Support managers and HR staff with corrective actions and policy explanations during employee meetings.
  • Ensure understanding and application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for union staff.  

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage department staff while overseeing daily workflows and role assignments. 
  • Monitor performance, set goals, conduct regular check-ins, and provide timely evaluations. 
  • Handle disciplinary actions and terminations per company policy and serve as a backup for team roles as needed. 

 Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with CFHC policies and standards. 
  • Foster collaboration with HR and managers, demonstrating CFHC’s mission and values. 
  • Serve as a backup for the Director of HR and participate in meetings or projects as needed. 
  • Travel to other locations and perform additional duties as assigned. 


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of Five (5) of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources Man
