About the role
<p>Are you looking to jumpstart your career in the gaming industry and work closely with a dedicated team across multiple communities, platforms and games?</p><p>Pearl Abyss - the company behind the highly acclaimed<strong> Black Desert franchise</strong> - is seeking a passionate and motivated<strong> Service Operations Intern</strong> for its European Publishing Office who has a keen interest in gaming and wants to gain practical experience in the industry. </p><p>Our company offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn and develop essential skills relevant to your desired career paths. You will be in a highly collaborative role, creative, and work with results-oriented teams – Live-ops, Community Management, and more to help them further grow and maintain the European player base across all platforms. </p><p>As an Service Operations Intern, you will also learn about continuously monitoring the game’s live service, handling day-to-day live operations tasks, collecting in-game issues and player feedback and engaging players by designing and executing in-game events. </p><p>You will join a dedicated team working across multiple communities, platforms and games Black Desert, and upcoming releases such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and PLAN 8. <br/><br/></p><p><strong>Application deadline: </strong>30 September 2023 </p><p><strong>Internship period: </strong>Flexible starting dates, internship period last for 3 to 6 months depending on program requirements </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong> </p><ul> <li>Effectively handle communication through various channels between our South Korean HQ and our European office’s stakeholders (PR, Live-Ops, Marketing, etc.) </li> <li>Translate internal documents. Specifically, translate content updates, plans, patch notes, community reports, and planning documents for marketing, public relations, marketing assets, and internal Slack or email communications. </li> <li>Take care of ad-hoc projects as needed. </li> <li>Other work includes local market research, monitoring in-game and community trends, etc. </li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p> <br/><strong>Requirements:</strong> </p><ul> <li>You are currently studying towards your <strong>Bachelor’s</strong> or <strong>Master’s</strong> at a <strong>Dutch university</strong> in: Communication, Electronic and digital media communication, Broadcasting, Korean Language, Journalism, Public relations, Marketing Communication, or a related field </li> <li>You possess great interpersonal and communication skills and are a strong collaborator </li> <li>Native/bilingual in English and Korean </li> <li>Ability to multitask more than one project at the same time. </li> </ul><ul><li>You are an avid gamer or have a proven interest in the gaming industry </li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul> <li>Competitive monthly internship allowance of €600~ €1000/month depending on experience</li> <li>Public Transport Expenses Coverage - maximum €400/month </li> </ul><ul> <li>Sponsored Lunch in the office. </li> <li>Free Snacks and Refreshments </li> </ul>
