We are currently seeking a Program Manager for Property & Construction Risk Management.
LaBella’s growing Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)/Environmental Due Diligence Program is one of the largest and most established in the northeast and is quickly expanding into other geographies throughout the eastern United States. LaBella’s due diligence practice services a wide variety of clients consisting of municipalities, developers, attorneys, and financial institutions, each requiring client-centric, and sometimes creative solutions. The size, expected growth, and geographies serviced by LaBella’s Due Diligence Program create a unique and exciting opportunity to build upon LaBella’s existing property and construction risk management services concurrent with the growth of our due diligence services throughout the eastern United States. As a supplement to LaBella’s Environmental Due Diligence Program with its own opportunities for market growth, the Manager of Property and Construction Risk Management position provides the opportunity for the right candidate with technical skills and a growth mindset to work with our current due diligence leadership to grow our existing program with a focus on property and construction risk management.
A successful candidate will have significant experience and knowledge of PCAs and Draw inspections/reports, with a focus on the completion of these reports/projects in association with due diligence for commercial and construction lending. Specifically, the Manager will be responsible for the overall quality control for all deliverables related to property and construction risk.. Moreover, the Manager will be responsible for business development initiatives, which will include working with Project Managers and Business Specialists to target construction-related due diligence services to LaBella’s existing client base while actively seeking new clients for these services within established and new markets throughout LaBella’s footprint.
Duties
- Overall responsibility for the development of client-specific report templates and quality assurance/quality control responsibilities for all associated reports.
- Development and preparation of proposals and budgets for property and construction risk-related projects.
- Project management for engaged property and construction risk-related projects, including tracking and maintaining project and deliverable schedules, ensuring client-specific requirements are met, and reviewing/approving project invoicing.
- Training of existing LaBella staff in the technical aspects and reporting for property and construction risk-related projects, with completion of this work, as necessary.
- Targeted business development activities with the inclusion of Labella’s existing project management and business development team to expand LaBella’s client-base throughout its footprint with an initial focus on financial institutions.
- Periodic travel throughout LaBella’s footprint including periodic overnight stays for networking events, conferences, fieldwork, and/or internal training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in architecture, construction management, or engineering.
- 7+ years relevant experience in construction or construction related field such as architecture, construction management and/or engineering.
- Extensive experience in the completion of Property Condition Assessments and Construction Draw Inspections, with a focus on the completion of these reports in association with commercial and construction lending.
- Ability to review, edit, and provide QA/QC for property and construction risk-related due diligence reports.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Understanding of applicable ASTM standard (E2815) and applicable state and federal regulations and guidance.
- Knowledge of climate resiliency applications to construction risk management
- Ability and interest in business development with commercial and construction lenders, developers, and legal clients.
- Exceptional technical writing skills.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team atmosphere.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Deltek and report writing software (Quire) a plus.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year
