About the role
Duties and Responsibilities / KPI’s
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and equipment.
- Record inventory transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Store items safely and systematically.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch materials as per operational needs.
- Conduct cycle counts and support inventory audits.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
- Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and logistics teams.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge
- Minimum Requirement:
High School Diploma - Bachelor's degree is an added advantage
- Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational training or certification in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
Forklift operation certification.
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Working Conditions
Environment:
- -Industrial warehouses located near mining operations, exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery.
- Schedule:
- -Shift-based work, including weekends and public holidays depending on operational demands.
- Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift and move heavy items.
-Standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods.
-Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. - Safety:
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures is mandatory.
Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Participate in health, safety and environment training programs to understand potential hazards, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Report any health, safety and environmental concerns, incidents, or near misses promptly to the designated supervisor or safety officer.
- Assist in identifying workplace hazards and participate in risk assessments to minimize risks to personal health and safety.
- Wear appropriate PPE as required for specific tasks or environments and ensure that it is maintained and used correctly.
- Be familiar with emergency response procedures, including evacuation routes, assembly points, and first aid protocols.
- Follow established safe work practices and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or illnesses.
- Operate machinery, tools, and equipment safely, following manufacturer's instructions and the AML safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to reduce hazards and prevent accidents.
- Promote a culture of health and safety awareness among coworkers by encouraging safe behaviors and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Participate in health and safety committees or meetings as required, providing input and suggestions for improving workplace safety.
- Keep accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities as required by company policy and regulations.

- Oversee and monitor the environmental performance of your department's functions, ensuring high levels of awareness and compliance with company environmental policies and relevant environmental laws.
