Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will work a dual role which will function as both a Drug & Alcohol Technician and a HR Representative. You will administer drug/alcohol screening in the field and office and coordination of the human resource activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and provide responsive, and service while carrying out different human resource agendas. You will report to the HR Manager.
Primary Tasks:
- You will administer drug and alcohol screenings for pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-responsibilities, follow-up and any other screens as specified.
- Make schedules for pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, follow-up, return-to-tasks drug and alcohol screens.
- Notify appropriate authority upon receiving a pending drug screen from an associate.
- Drug and Alcohol Tech is on call 24 hours per day 7 days per week in the event of afterhours post-accident and reasonable suspicion screen
- You will respond to requests for information from management, outside agencies and the public. Collaborate with Managers, providing a standard of service consistent with Administration's expectation. This includes new hires, transfers and procedures, reports, attendance meetings, complaints, and concerns.
- Prepare paperwork required to place employees on payroll and establish personnel file.
- Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must have and retain valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word software.
- Knowledge of office administration procedures. Operate most standard office equipment.
- Prior experience with a Jupiter Alcohol machine.
- Telephone skills.
- Be on call 24 hours per day 7 days per week during assigned rotation.
- One (1) year related work experience.
