Job Description:
In our HPC/AI division we focus on cutting edge, high-performance, high-scale customer solutions serving a wide range of industries and end-users. Our organization includes High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), covering major verticals like Public Sector, Weather and Climate, Energy or Defense.
In this position as a Senior Program Manager in the HPC & AI Deployment Team, you are responsible for:
- The end-to-end delivery of large scale HPC & AI Deployment Programs
- Running multiple deployment programs simultaneously. (pending size/complexity)
- Program Schedule development, publication and maintenance
- Tracking action items, and reporting
- Risk Management and reporting
- Planning and chairing all internal and customer program meetings
- Escalating issues and communicating with HPE and customer management
- Managing program financials including P&L and providing reliable financial forecasts to management
- Coordinating facility planning with customers and managing infrastructure work prior to system installation
- Management of HPE’s sub-contractors, if envisioned by the contract.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations
- Coordinating system manufacturing and factory testing
- Managing transportation and physical installation
- Managing system stabilization and site checkout
- Planning and managing of all acceptance testing
- Preparing for system operations
- Post acceptance planning, satisfaction reviews, and transition to on-going support.
- Managing client relationships including upper-level management stakeholders
- Frequently representing the organization to external customers/clients
- Managing internal as well as external resources with a team size less than 40 people
- Mentoring and encouraging skills development of program/project team members
- Providing detailed performance review input and development recommendations for team members
- Working with Sales & Pre-Sales on bid responses and forward planning for upcoming programs

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…
- First level university degree, advanced degree preferred
- 10 years’ experience in program/senior project management or in like roles/businesses
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of key operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to program/project management
- Recognized as a leader in the company's PM Professions community
- PMP or Prince2 Certified
- Ability to speak with authority to most layers of depth related to program/project management methods
- Profound business acumen and commercial experience
- Customer-focused approach and a good understanding of customers’ expectations in the HPC environment
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated success in directing large programs
- Orchestration and leading deployment teams
- Experience of working in matrix, cross-functional teams
- Business fluency in English and German language
