Senior Marketing Backend Developer

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure for our customer-facing websites and internal Marketing Operations systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration between various systems like Marketo, Salesforce, and other backend tools, contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing strategies. 

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs that power our customer-facing websites and marketing platforms.
• Work closely with the Marketing Operations team to integrate backend systems, including Marketo and Salesforce, ensuring data consistency and seamless workflow automation.
• Design and manage databases to support marketing and customer data, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain APIs for integration with third-party platforms, enabling efficient data exchange between systems.
• Optimize backend processes and code for maximum performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality web experiences.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for backend systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
•  Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and integrations.
• Effectively communicate status to stakeholder team(s).
• Follows up with issues/defects as the progress through their life-cycle.
• We work in a hybrid manner at our Austin and San Diego offices!

About You: 

• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and operating large-scale, high-performance APIs and services.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Extensive knowledge of core AWS features and services, including DynamoDB, AWS Serverless Application Model, SAM CLI, Lambda, CloudFormation StackSets, S3 and Route 53.
• You have implemented server-side APIs using Ruby or similar technologies.
• Experience with composable web architecture and JAMStack
• This role is preferred to sit in Austin, Texas
