Job Description

Sobi is seeking a passionate, highly collaborative, strategic marketer for the role of Director, US HCP Marketing. This highly visible position will lead all U.S. HCP Market Development for the upcoming launch of a product, a novel, infused therapy for a severe, rare form of gout. You will play a critical role in developing and executing the pre-launch and launch HCP strategies for this asset. You will lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute unbranded HCP campaigns and materials, leveraging expertise in disease-state strategy, KOL engagement, customer segmentation, and HCP promotion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully launching and promoting therapies in the rheumatology and/or the buy-and-bill space.  

This is an individual contributor role that is flexible on location. Travel to the Waltham, MA office is expected. Preferred location is in the metro Boston area.   

Key Responsibilities 

Including, but not limited to: 

Pre-Launch: 

  • Lead and develop the overall U.S. HCP disease state strategy and campaign for chronic refractory gout, including market research, competitive analysis, and key stakeholder insights  

  • Serve as lead for Rheumatology and Nephrology speaker bureau, including branded and unbranded speaker deck development, speaker training planning and execution, and general bureau management and nominations. 

  • Drive creation and execution of key opinion leader engagement strategy in collaboration with the TLL lead 

  • Develop and execute pre-launch professional education and market shaping initiatives, including national broadcasts to build awareness and excitement for the upcoming launch of the product. 

  • Act as the main liaison for TLLs to ensure coordination with KOLs/OLs, facilitate the exchange of insights, and aid in the implementation of insight generation to inform the strategic plan  

  • Conduct market research to understand the unmet needs of HCPs in the chronic refractory gout space, and use insights to inform the plan  

  • Partner and align with cross-functional and global partners to establish launch readiness milestones and timelines, ensuring all aspects of the launch plan within your purview are executed on time and within budget  

  • Execute HCP advisory board meetings to support disease and market insights to inform launch plan  

Post-launch: 

  • Continue to develop, and evolve core disease education for HCPs that correspond to brand needs and market insights  

  • Keep overseeing Speaker Bureau, including speaker preparation and content creation 

  • Organize advisory boards and other KOL/OL engagement opportunities to obtain key insights to inform medical education strategies 

  • Be a disease state expert, guide cross-functional efforts to create and update the assessment of medical educational needs  

  • Advance the creation and evaluation of content and the measurement of educational efforts for the product 

  • Collaborate with field teams to identify best practices and uncover trends to improve consistency of brand strategy execution   

  • Maintain strong relationships with therapeutic area experts to identify needs and leverage medical education activities to improve patient care 

  • Serve as the primary marketing support for the TLL team
