Join us.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for managing a group of projects from planning and design through to the successful completion and commissioning.</p><p>The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering the projects safely to time, to budget and to specification, ensuring the projects achieve all project goals and objectives in accordance with the Contracting Entity’s employer’s requirements and the corporate strategic intent for the portfolio.</p><p><strong>Team Management</strong></p><ul><li>Manage the performance of a team of Project Managers each responsible for the delivery of one or more projects</li><li>Oversee the day to day activities of the Project Managers ensuring that the appropriate project management techniques and measures are being implemented to ensure delivery of the projects to cost, schedule, quality and safety metrics</li><li>Develop and maintain a detailed resourcing plan for the delivery of the projects under the responsibility of the Senior Project Manager</li><li>Be responsible for reporting on the performance of the projects under their remit</li><li>Work with the Programme Director to address any issues that arise in the course of the delivery of the projects</li></ul><p><strong>Project Management Activities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the coordination of the project ensuring interfaces are considered and addressed at all stages of the project lifecycle</li><li>Work with the technical teams in coordinating and managing the design consultants and other external service providers</li><li>Organise the appropriate design review meetings and be responsible for communicating design acceptance to the Contractor</li><li>Be responsible for communicating design changes to relevant members of the project team and stakeholders who may be impacted</li><li>Report monthly on the tasks throughout the project’s lifecycle including construction works (during the construction phase) that have been undertaken</li><li>Client-side project management, including stakeholder, H&amp;S, risk, quality, schedule, and contract management</li><li>Ensure projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for quality, cost, and time</li><li>Support and manage the project team ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting the client and business requirements</li><li>Actively manage subcontractors and resources remote from the core project team</li><li>Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications</li></ul><p><strong>NEC Specific Activities (where applicable)</strong></p><ul><li>Review and accept programme submissions</li><li>Lead and act in the spirit of mutual trust and co-operation</li><li>Communicate and issue documents as required by the ECC and perform any other duties as stated in the contract</li><li>Carry out the duties as the Project Manager as required by the Contracting Entity’s contract for the Programme, maintaining close contact with the Client in order to ensure the Project Manager’s actions reflect the Contracting Entity’s objectives for the project</li></ul><p><strong>Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs that meet required standards</li><li>Knowledge of NEC and FIDIC suite of contracts</li><li>Knowledge of Engineering and Project Management Principles</li><li>Planning capability and ability to use Oracle Primavera 6 scheduling system</li><li>Knowledge of Policies and Procedures implementation</li><li>Ability to make decisions and demonstrate the logic in reaching those decisions where required</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum 15 years experience in the Construction / Infrastructure sector including on relevant aviation and/or other related projects of a similar size and complexity</li><li>Tangible experience of documentin
