The company, based in Madrid (Spain), is seeking a full-time <strong>Senior Renewable Energy Consultant</strong> to play a key role in developing innovative energy projects across the globe</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>You will be working with our diverse team of international energy sector consultants and professional staff in the areas/tasks listed below.</p><ul><li><p>Lead and deliver consulting assignments in renewable energy planning, project evaluation, and strategy development for public and private sector clients.</p></li><li><p>Conduct technical and economic analyses of renewable energy projects and systems, including feasibility studies, energy yield assessments, and investment appraisals.</p></li><li><p>Develop integrated energy models, scenario analyses, and policy simulations to support energy transition strategies and decarbonization pathways.</p></li><li><p>Provide expert input on regulatory and policy frameworks affecting renewable energy deployment, including support schemes, market design, and pricing mechanisms.</p></li><li><p>Support utility-scale, distributed, and off-grid energy project development through strategic advisory, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement.</p></li><li><p>Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and partners.</p></li><li><p>Oversee project delivery timelines, budget management, and quality assurance, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.</p></li><li><p>Stay abreast of emerging technologies, global best practices, and market trends to inform project work and internal capability development.</p></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Required Experience &amp; Knowledge:</strong></p><ul><li><p>5–10 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector, including consulting, project development, energy modeling, or policy analysis.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, renewable energy policy, and power sector reform—particularly in emerging markets.</p></li><li><p>Strong expertise in energy system modelling, renewable project evaluation, and techno-economic analysis of solar, wind, storage, and hybrid systems.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience delivering advisory services in areas such as renewable integration, grid planning, power system analysis, energy policy, or tariff design.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with sector-specific datasets (e.g., load profiles, irradiance, wind resource data) and tools for energy simulations and optimization (e.g., HOMER, PVSyst, SAM, EnergyPLAN).</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in quantitative tools and programming languages such as Python, R, Excel/VBA, or MATLAB for modeling and data analysis, is desired.</p></li><li><p>Experience with financial modeling, LCOE, NPV, IRR, and sensitivity/risk analysis for renewable projects.</p></li><li><p>Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the capacity to interpret technical and economic findings into clear, actionable strategies.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical content to non-technical stakeholders and high-level decision-makers.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.</p></li><li><p>Line or team management experience, with responsibility for mentoring and developing junior staff.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>MSc or equivalent in Renewable Energy, Power Systems, Energy Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
