About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Consolidation & IFRS Expert with a Big 4 background and a proven track record in financial consolidation and reporting in Portugal. This role is ideal for professionals who have worked within parent companies or Portuguese holding structures, ensuring full IFRS compliance while navigating the complexities of multi-entity consolidation, regulatory reporting, and financial controls. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the financial consolidation process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This includes preparing statutory consolidated financial statements, aligning with IFRS compliance standards, and supporting key business decisions through reliable financial data.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the execution of all necessary procedures for the group’s financial consolidation process, in compliance with IFRS and Portuguese accounting standards.
• Prepare statutory consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality reporting.
• Ensure alignment with IFRS compliance standards, corporate governance requirements, and internal control procedures.
• Work closely with auditors, finance teams, and senior management to ensure effective financial consolidation and reporting.
• Drive process improvements to optimize efficiency in financial consolidation and reporting.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in financial consolidation in Portugal (mandatory).
• Previous experience in a Big 4 auditing firm (mandatory).
• Professional background in holding companies or parent structures in Portugal, with direct involvement in the consolidation process.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial compliance, and corporate reporting regulations.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or similar sectors is highly valued.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP-Financial Consolidation
• Strong leadership mindset, with the ambition to grow internally and take on greater responsibilities.
• Ability to manage and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Proactive and solution-oriented approach, with a strategic vision for financial processes and reporting improvements.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
