Reliability Engineering Department

The Reliability Engineering Team is responsible for the overall health of critical systems and Site Operations formalized best practices.

For each of the major systems Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls, the Reliability Engineering team is responsible for ensuring success in the commissioning stages of new construction, evaluating and improving the reliability and performance of existing critical infrastructure, new and remediation projects, sustaining equipment operational availability through maintenance programming, providing technical support and training to the Site Operations Teams, and providing systems reliability and maintainability feedback to the Design Engineering teams for future design considerations.

Position Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Change and Incident Manager to be responsible for overseeing and managing all change activities and incident resolutions within the EMEA Data Centre region. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring continuous improvement.

The candidate will be responsible for driving the entire change lifecycle, from initial request through assessment, authorization, and successful implementation.  They will also be key in the development and implementation of robust incident management strategies, focusing on minimizing downtime, restoring services promptly, and preventing recurring incidents.

Essential Role Functions and Duties

Change Management:

  • Maintenance and operation of the Change Control System

  • Liaise with relevant departments with regards to ensuring the required changes are carried out in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to assess and authorize changes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external customers, to understand change impacts and ensure effective communication.
     Assist with the development and implementation of  change & incident management policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with changes and incidents, developing strategies to mitigate these risks. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external customers to implement mitigation measures.

Incident Management:

  • Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.

  • Help establish and maintain incident management policies and procedures.

  • Conduct post-incident reviews with internal teams and external customers to identify root causes and implement preventive measures

Other Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of all changes and incidents, including detailed documentation of actions taken and resolutions achieved.

  • Provide accurate reporting on the status of the Changes/Incidents highlighting trends and areas for improvement for inclusion in monthly reporting and Management Review.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of change and incident management processes.

  • Ensure all data is effectively controlled, securely managed and stored as required within internal databases.

  • Assist during Internal and External

  • Act as a primary point of contact for both internal and external customers during change and incident management processes.

  • Collaborate closely with customer representatives to understand their requirements and expectations.

  • Coordinate communication channels between the Data Centre Operations team and customers.

  • Ensure timely and transparent communication regarding planned changes and ongoing incident resolutions.

  • Provide training and support to internal and external stakeholders on change and incident management procedures.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility between the Data Centre team and customers.
