The Role 
The Principal Architect for Digital Organizational Change Management (OCM) serves as a strategic leader driving complex change initiatives for global clients across industries. This role blends deep expertise in change strategy, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and cultural adoption to ensure successful transformation outcomes. Working within a multidisciplinary consulting team, the Sr. Principal Architect for Digital OCM partners with C-level executives and program leaders to assess organizational readiness, define change strategies, and execute adoption plans that align with business goals. The role requires exceptional leadership, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a passion for enabling people to embrace new ways of working in technology-driven transformations. Success is measured by client satisfaction, adoption metrics, and business value realization. 

Travel Requirements: 

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 25%. It will be based in the Boston area (United States). The candidate will be empowered to contract with account managers (AMs), DSAEs, and their colleagues to defer travel or find alternative means to travel (e.g., WebEx, virtual workshops, etc.). The capability’s success depends on relationships with clients, AMs, DSAEs, and their leaders, so the candidate must prioritize in-person and virtual relationship building.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the design and execution of large-scale organizational change strategies for enterprise-wide transformations, including digital, cloud, ERP, and operating model initiatives. 
  • Partner with client executives, program leaders, and technical teams to understand transformation goals, assess readiness, and define a comprehensive OCM strategy aligned with business objectives. 
  • Oversee the creation of stakeholder engagement plans, change impact assessments, communications strategies, and workforce transition plans to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and behaviors. 
  • Develop and implement leadership alignment programs to equip executives and managers with the tools and insights to champion change effectively. 
  • Direct the design, development, and delivery of training programs and enablement materials to prepare employees for new roles, responsibilities, and technologies. 
  • Create and manage robust change metrics frameworks to measure adoption, engagement, and performance outcomes, using data to adjust strategies in real time. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing guidance on change risks, resistance management, and cultural transformation challenges. 
  • Lead workshops, design sessions, and executive briefings to co-create solutions with client stakeholders and ensure buy-in at all levels. 
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level consultants, providing guidance on OCM methodology, client engagement, and career development.
  • Drive thought leadership by contributing to OCM frameworks, tools, and methodologies, and by publishing insights on change management trends and best practices.
  • Support business development by shaping proposals, presenting to prospective clients, and articulating the business value of OCM in transformation programs.
  • Collaborate across functional teams—strategy, technology, human capital, and industry verticals—to deliver integrated transformation solutions. 
  • Ensure compliance with client and firm quality standards, risk management practices, and contractual requirements for all OCM deliverables.        

Required Skills and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience; Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Business, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience delivering large-scale organizational change in complex, global environments, ideally within a consulting or systems integration firm.
  • Significant leadership experience in OCM roles, with a demonstrated ability to lead multi-million-dollar transformation engagements.
