Join us.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>AECOM is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Project Manager to join our team in the Netherlands.</p><p>In this senior leadership role, you will be accountable for the successful end-to-end delivery of multiple complex projects, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule, and budget.</p><p>You will oversee both client-specific and internal HSSE protocols, driving a culture of safety excellence while identifying opportunities to enhance cost efficiency and operational performance.</p><p>Your ability to lead, influence, and inspire multidisciplinary teams and contractors will be essential to navigating the dynamic and multifaceted nature of our programmes. As a key representative of AECOM, you will play a critical role in maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with the Client Team and ensuring consistent, transparent communication throughout each project phase.</p><p>If you are a results-driven leader with exceptional communication skills in both Dutch and English, and thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments, this is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver innovative infrastructure and construction projects that will make a lasting impact across the Netherlands.</p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u>:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead multidisciplinary project teams across all phases—from planning and design through to construction and handover.</li><li>Own full accountability for programme delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, cost controls, and quality benchmarks.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level client engagement, maintaining strong, trust-based relationships throughout project lifecycles.</li><li>Direct the implementation of robust Health, Safety, Security &amp; Environmental (HSSE) protocols, ensuring strict compliance with AECOM and client policies.</li><li>Manage operational teams on-site and remotely, providing strategic guidance and daily leadership to ensure alignment and excellence in execution.</li><li>Conduct high-level stakeholder meetings, manage executive reporting, and support governance processes including audits and performance reviews.</li><li>Identify and implement process and cost efficiencies, value engineering opportunities, and risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Oversee procurement, contracts, and supply chain relationships, ensuring partner alignment and contract compliance.</li><li>Champion AECOM’s values and ethics, promoting a high-performance culture grounded in integrity, safety, and innovation.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong><u>Core Competencies</u>:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Strategic Project Leadership:</strong> Demonstrated success in directing large-scale construction and infrastructure programmes across logistics, industrial, or commercial sectors.</li><li><strong>HSSE Excellence:</strong> Recognized for leading safety-first cultures and implementing world-class safety practices with measurable improvements.</li><li><strong>Client Relationship Management:</strong> Trusted advisor to clients, able to manage complex stakeholder environments and drive long-term partnerships.</li><li><strong>Operational Execution:</strong> Proven ability to manage project delivery teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with a focus on continuous improvement.</li><li><strong>Change &amp; Risk Management:</strong> Experienced in navigating regulatory, contractual, and site-related risks with agility and foresight.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required</u>:</strong></p><ul><li>20+ years of progressive experience in construction or infrastructure project delivery.</li><li>Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.</li><li>Proven track record managing diverse, high-performance operational teams.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.</li><li>Valid driving
