Job Description

AECOM is seeking Senior Tunnel Ventilation Engineer to join our Oakland, California Office.

JOB SUMMARY:
The applicant will have demonstrated experience in analysis and design of tunnel ventilation systems for transit/rail transportation tunnels and road tunnel projects and related underground or enclosed structures. As a team member, you will be expected to bring related experience in innovative mechanical design and problem-solving capability for tunnel ventilation systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Capable of conducting computerized airflow analysis for tunnel ventilation systems and writing tunnel ventilation analysis reports.
• Proficiency in industry tools: CFD, SES and FDS software programs
• Capable of designing mechanical ventilation systems using engineering calculations and preparing design drawings and specifications
• Experience with ventilation equipment selection and installation
• Familiarity with fans and controls
• Demonstrated abilities to work within project timeframes and budget constraints
• Work with AECOM’s other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. 
• Ability to obtain a PE license within the first year of starting

• Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $116,087.33 - $214,761.56.
