Job Summary
The Talent and Organizational Development Sr. Analyst will play a critical role in the design, development and execution of all talent management initiatives. This role will be responsible for assisting in the strategy development for performance management, talent review, succession planning, and all executive development programs and processes. This role will partner with all departments across CSX, HR Business Partners, and Learning and Talent Development to align with the ONE CSX strategy, Values & Behaviors, and business objectives.
The Talent and Organizational Development Sr. Analyst will partner with the Manager, Talent Management to design and drive all integrated talent management programs, tools and processes across CSX. This role will also support all talent analytics while helping provide talent updates. The ideal candidate has a strong background in talent management practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving organizational success through change and effective talent management experiences.
Primary Activities
- Responsible for supporting all talent management programs, processes including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning or any new TM developments
- Supports talent programs and initiatives both internally and externally to drive career development and growth
- Integrates values and behaviors into all talent practices and programs to ensure alignment with culture and talent strategy
- Partners with HRBPs and customers to ensure Talent Management processes are meeting customers’ needs, provide proactive solutions, and provide leaders with talent analytics
- Supports external partnerships and programs and assists with community engagement activities to build the talent pipeline
- Collaborate with People Systems and Analytics to develop system enhancements, reporting, and all backend functionality of talent programs
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree/4-year degree
- 5 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, Workforce Development or Industrial Psychology or related fields
- Ability to analyze data and trends associated with Talent Management data and use the information for fact-based decision making and influencing through the creation of executive-level summaries
- Previous experience in in talent management, organization development, training & development, and project management in a corporate human resources setting
- Experience in the design, development, and implementation of programs, such as 360 assessments, succession, performance management, and goal setting.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the minimum qualification, below are the preferred educational and previous experience preferences:
- Graduate Degree or higher
- 3 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, Workforce Development or Industrial Psychology or related fields
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience working with leaders in the full-cycle Talent Management process – talent reviews, goal planning, succession planning, performance management and 360’s
- Ability to apply talent expertise and deploy organizational wide solutions
- Strong communication skills; ability to present talent analytics and insights to HRBPs and leadership
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to collaborate and communicate across the CSX networks
- Ability to be creative and innovative with high attention to detail with product delivery
- Strong project management skills; organized and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Talent modules in HR Systems, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
