As part of its growth and development, CMA CGM Holland is looking for a Customer Service Officer to join its Import team in VIP Desk, in the Customer Care department.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Customer Service Officer Import pro-actively manages the releases and/or delivery of incoming cargo to final receivers. They are capable of handling all queries from customers, terminals, customs and other CMA CGM departments. They are also able to multitask within the various Import Customer Service teams.
The key responsibilities of the Customer Service Officer Import are divided as such :
- Compliance with cargo release policy and arranging transport via the intermodal organization ILS
- Administrative activities concerning the processing, documentation and handling of all incoming cargo
- Compliance with the Customer Care Charter
- Maintaining contact with customers, hauliers, HO, stevedore, agents, customs and other departments
- Follow-up a wide range of long stays, queries and disputes
- Identify improvements and provide feedback on day-to-day business
- Reviewing, improving and implementing work procedures and company policies as well as updating the customer profiles
- Recommending potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Excellent knowledge of the Dutch & English language
- Shipping education (Cargadoor 1 and 2)
- Some work experience in an international customer service environment
- Knowledge of international rules and regulations
- Specific knowledge about all documentation aspects
- Excellent knowledge op MS Office package
- Good communication skills (oral & written)
- Knowledge of shipping INCO-terms
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
- A logic approach to problem solving
- Customer-focused & Pro-active
