Title: Social Sciences Faculty
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. The pay range is high $40,000s to low $50,000s, based on credentials.
Responsibilities: This full-time, on-campus faculty position in the Public Service and Social Sciences Department will begin with the Fall 2025 semester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a combination of day, evening, and online courses. Teaching load is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which currently requires a workload equivalent to 15 credit hours. In addition to teaching, the faculty member will actively contribute to curriculum development and program expansion in the areas of social work, crisis services, and related fields, and will also provide academic advising to students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in psychology or related field
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level in the social sciences
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Doctoral degree in psychology or related field
- Experience with curriculum development
- Previous employment in the social services industry including social work, crisis services, or other related settings.
- Experience with Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems
