PURPOSE
The Donor Relations Assistant will be responsible for the coordination and execution of administrative duties related to recognition and giving societies including tracking memberships and ensuring that all benefits are being received. They will also be responsible for drafting and preparing written acknowledgements to donors.
DESCRIPTION
Functional Area 1: Administrative
Percent Effort: 60%
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Donor Engagement execute the day-to-day operations for all donor recognition and giving societies including tracking memberships, ensuring benefits are being received, and assisting with stewardship and renewal efforts.
Manage the operations and logistics of the brick & bench campaign. Collaborate with Development to track donations and steward donors; coordinate with Administrative Operations and external vendors to ensure items are ordered and installed.
Assist with the preparation of written communications and standardized donor acknowledgements.
Work with Development Officers ensure that personalized acknowledgements are being written and delivered in a timely manner.
Enters data and uploads stewardship-related documents to university's Raiser's Edge constituent database; Prepares, uploads, and manages email and other communication lists in Encompass

Percent Effort: 30%
Assists with Institutional Advancement and Donor Relations events
Assist Advancement Services staff with database updates and other special projects
Functional Area 3: Other
Percent Effort: 10%
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree.
Additional experience may be considered as a substitute for the minimum education required:
High school diploma/GED with four (4) years of related experience
Associate’s degree with two (2) years of related experience
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of related experience in hospitality, communications, and creating correspondence.
SALARY: up to $16.36/hourly
Up to $34,028.80/annually, approximately
