Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption. Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

Job Description
As one of the first programs of its kind in the U.S., the BMT program at MSK, recently celebrating 50 years of providing bone marrow transplants, has always been at the forefront of BMT research as well as the care of patients undergoing bone marrow transplants. To help us continue our work on behalf of these patients, we are seeking a Program Coordinator to join our growing team!
You will:
- With guidance coordinate all aspects of the unrelated donor and umbilical cord blood search and procurement process through the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).
- Serve as a contact for patients, external and MSKCC physicians, the MSKCC Histocompatibility Laboratory, NMDP Case Management, and domestic and international Donor Centers and Transplant Centers.
- Coordinate the shipment of buccal swab kits to potential related donors for human leukocyte antigen (HLA) testing.
- Provide support in transplant and cellular therapy scheduling processes.
You are:
- Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.
- An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences.
You have:
- At least 2 years work experience in healthcare setting, preferably in bone marrow transplant-related role.
- Proficiency with computers and data management software, including spreadsheets and databases. Microsoft Excel and Access preferred.
- Excellent information management, analytical, administrative, verbal and written communication skills.
Hours:
- Full Time, M-F, 9am-5pm, Hybrid
