Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Accounting Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of responsibilities include:

• Prepare month-end journal entries
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and revenue reconciliations
• Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of annual reports and annual NCAA audit
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of budget to actual reports
• Review and approve expense reports when required
• Assist with the creation of manuals and job aids for the Business Office
• Review expense and revenue activity on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and propose corrections if necessary
• Assist with the creation and modification of purchase orders
• Review Accounts Payable activity and work with vendors when necessary to ensure payments are accurate and up to date.
• Interact internally with Purchasing, Cashier’s Office, Foundation and other departments
• Interact externally with suppliers on a daily/weekly basis
• Assist Associate AD Business office in other functions as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required; or a master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.

Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year.
